Best AI visibility tools in 2026: 10 platforms compared
Ten AI visibility tools compared on engines, prompts, pricing, trials and what each one does after it measures your brand in AI answers.

Co-founder
The best AI visibility tools in 2026 are Asky, Peec AI, Profound, Otterly.AI, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, SE Visible and Promptwatch. All ten show how AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI features mention and cite your brand. They differ in what happens next: most report, several recommend, and a few act. Asky ranks first because it decides what to fix across SEO and GEO and carries out the work in your CMS, from page updates to fixes for supported technical issues.
The audience behind these answers is huge. Google says AI Overviews has over 2.5 billion monthly active users (Google), and OpenAI reports 1.2 billion weekly users (OpenAI). Buyers use these engines to choose vendors: 45% of B2B buyers in a Gartner survey used generative AI in a recent purchase, mainly to research vendors and products (Gartner). Every vendor fact below comes from the vendor's own website, checked on 10 October 2026.
| Tool | Best for | Engines in the entry price, as listed | Entry price | Free trial | Publishes changes to your site |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Asky | SEO and GEO work done, not just measured | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews (swappable) | €99/month, 50 prompts | 7 days | Yes, from €399 (Scale); automatic fixes on Momentum |

| Profound | Enterprise brands that want agents | Custom per contract; trial: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews | Custom (Enterprise) | 7 days | Yes, through agents |
| Otterly.AI | Affordable monitoring | ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot | $29/month, 15 prompts | 7 days | Not described |
| Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit | Teams already on Semrush | ChatGPT Search, AI Mode or Gemini; Perplexity in brand reports | $99/month per domain, 25 prompts | Not for the toolkit; 7 days on Semrush One | WordPress, via the Content Toolkit |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | Market-wide AI research | Your choice of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, AI Overviews, AI Mode or Claude, billed per check | From $50/month for prompt packages | No | SEO fixes via the Patches add-on |

| Promptwatch | MCP and API access on a budget | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Claude, Gemini and more | $95/month, 50 prompts | 7 days | Webflow and Framer; articles from $245 |
What is an AEO tool, and is it the same as an AI visibility tool?
An AEO tool is software that measures and improves how answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention, cite and describe a brand. Asky, Peec AI and Profound are examples. "AEO tool", "GEO tool" and "AI visibility tool" name the same category with a different emphasis. AEO comes from answer engine optimization, GEO from generative engine optimization, and AI visibility from the measurement side.
Every tool here tracks prompts, the questions buyers ask, and records which brands each answer names and which sources it cites; most also track position and sentiment. The real differences sit in how answers are captured, how many prompts and countries a plan covers, and whether the tool helps you change the answers or only reports them.
How are GEO tools different from traditional SEO tools?
SEO tools measure rankings in a list of links. GEO tools measure whether an AI answer names you, recommends you and cites your pages, which can differ from who ranks first. A page can rank well and still be missing from the answer, and a third-party list can shape the answer more than your own site.
The two still share foundations: crawlable pages, clear entities and trusted sources. That is why the categories are merging.
Semrush and Ahrefs added AI tracking to their SEO suites, and Asky treats SEO and GEO as one system that measures both, ranks the work and ships it. Forrester notes that most AEO technologies license common synthetic datasets, which pushes buyers to judge vendors on how they analyze data (Forrester). Ask each vendor where its answers come from.
How we chose and ranked these tools
We shortlisted widely compared tools. We assessed each on five criteria: answer capture; flexibility of prompts, engines and markets; depth of analysis; what the tool does after it measures; and openness of pricing. Prices, plans and features come from each vendor's own pages, read on 10 October 2026.
Asky ranks first on the fourth criterion, which we weight most, because a report only matters when someone acts on it. The rest are ordered by overall fit for a B2B marketing team, and tools that only monitor still earn a place when they do it well.
1. Asky: best for teams that want SEO and GEO work done
Overview
Asky is autonomous SEO and GEO, from insight to execution. Its agent ranks the next actions across content, technical fixes and third-party sources from a knowledge graph of your brand, then carries them out in your CMS. Asky tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews every day in 46 countries, with Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Claude as add-ons. Plans start at €99 a month for 50 prompts, with a 7-day trial.
Strengths
- One ranked list of next actions across content, refreshes, technical fixes, third-party sources and community threads, instead of an endless list of recommendations.
- Writes and refreshes pages, publishes to Webflow, WordPress or Sanity and can change a single field, block or widget; supported technical issues are fixed automatically or in one click.
- Asky checks AI answers against the brand facts you set, gives a verdict per claim, and shows the source the engine cited for it, where there is one.
- Captures answers from the interfaces buyers use rather than relying only on model APIs. Connects Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools, AI crawler logs and the Asky MCP server, with unlimited seats.
Weaknesses
- Publishes to three CMSs: fewer than some tools, but each change goes to the field, block or widget that needs it and is read back after publishing.
- Self-serve workspaces hold one brand; more brands go through support.
- Each country a prompt runs in uses its own prompt slot, so the price follows the markets you track.
Best for
Marketing teams that want one system to measure search and AI visibility, decide what to fix first and ship the fix. See how Asky's AI visibility tracking works.
2. Peec AI: best for daily analytics with recommended actions
Overview
Berlin-based Peec AI offers "AI search analytics for marketing teams". Starter costs $95 a month, or €85 for EU visitors, for 50 prompts on three models you choose, tracked daily in one country.
Strengths
- Recommended actions with the evidence behind them, plus an in-app agent.
- Fact checking gives claims in tracked answers a verdict against brand facts you set, with 5 facts on Starter.
- Content optimization turns an action into an editable page draft, with WordPress publishing where it is enabled for the account.
- Unlimited users and competitors, an MCP server on every plan, crawl insights from server logs and GA4 referral tracking.
Weaknesses
- Starter covers one country, so tracking several markets means Pro or above.
Best for
Teams that want clean daily analytics and recommended actions. Our side-by-side Peec AI comparison goes deeper.
3. Profound: best for enterprise brands that want agents
Overview
New York-based Profound calls itself "the AI marketing platform built for the agentic era". Brands get a free 7-day trial with a preset set of 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, then move to custom Enterprise pricing. Agencies can start on Agency Growth at $99 a month plus $399 per client workspace.
Strengths
- FactCheck extracts factual claims about your brand and checks each against your knowledge base.
- Agents create content and publish to CMSs including Contentful, Framer, Sanity, Webflow and WordPress.
- Agent Analytics reads server and CDN logs, Search Console and GA4 connect natively, and brand plans include unlimited seats.
Weaknesses
- No published brand price after the trial, so ongoing tracking, API and MCP access come with a custom Enterprise contract.
Best for
Large brands with an enterprise budget and a team to run agents. Read our Profound comparison.
4. Otterly.AI: best for affordable monitoring
Overview
Austrian Otterly.AI starts at $29 a month for 15 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with unlimited seats. Standard costs $189 a month for 100 prompts, and EU visitors see the same numbers in euros.
Strengths
- A low entry price with recommendations and GEO audits of URLs on every plan, plus content briefs.
- Cited URLs and domains, sentiment and share of voice for each competitor.
- AI crawler analytics, an API and an MCP server from the Standard plan.
Weaknesses
- No in-app writer, CMS publishing or brand fact check is described.
Best for
Small teams and consultants who want dependable monitoring on a tight budget. See our OtterlyAI comparison.
5. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best for teams already on Semrush
Overview
Semrush, now an Adobe company, sells its AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 a month per domain. It tracks 25 daily prompts on ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode or Gemini, with brand mentions from Perplexity in its reports. Semrush One combines SEO and AI search from $199 a month with 50 prompts.
Strengths
- AI visibility next to Semrush's keyword and backlink data.
- Competitor research plus cited domains and URLs for each prompt.
- Site Audit adds AI search health checks, including AI crawler access and llms.txt, and reports can be scheduled.
Weaknesses
- Licensed per domain and per user, and Fact Check Analysis is part of Semrush Enterprise AIO rather than the toolkit.
Best for
SEO teams that already live in Semrush. Our Semrush comparison covers the details.
6. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best for market-wide AI research
Overview
Singapore-based Ahrefs sells custom prompt packages from $50 a month for 2,500 checks. Paid Ahrefs plans include a small allowance, starting with 5 daily prompts on one platform on Lite. Each platform, location and update uses a check. The AI visibility indexes cost $199 a month per platform or $699 for all.
Strengths
- Large prebuilt indexes of AI answers for category research without writing prompts.
- Ahrefs' backlink and SEO data, Search Console and GA4 data in Web Analytics, and API and MCP access from Lite.
- Bot Analytics shows AI crawler visits, and the Patches add-on publishes SEO fixes to your site.
Weaknesses
- No free trial, and brand fact checks run in Letaido, a separate Ahrefs product, rather than in Brand Radar itself.
Best for
SEO teams on Ahrefs that research how AI covers a whole market. See our Ahrefs comparison.
7. Scrunch: best for enterprise AEO audits
Overview
Scrunch, "a Sitecore Company" since June 2026, calls itself an enterprise-grade platform for AI search. Its Core plan costs $250 a month for 125 prompts and 5,000 responses on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot.
Strengths
- AEO-focused site audits and crawl readiness checks.
- Agent traffic from CDN and hosting integrations, plus query and advanced API access on Enterprise.
- Draft, approve and publish in SitecoreAI for Sitecore customers.
Weaknesses
- Core is priced per brand and covers one country, and the Fact Check Agent is a beta on Enterprise.
Best for
Enterprise brands that want AEO audits, agent traffic and recommendations, with publishing in SitecoreAI.
8. AthenaHQ: best for credit-based tracking with publishing
Overview
San Francisco-based AthenaHQ has a free tier with 300 credits and a Starter plan at $295 a month, or $245 a month billed annually, with 3,600 credits a month. One credit equals one AI response on most models, and some use five.
Strengths
- Starter covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and more models, as listed on its pricing page.
- Content Hub publishes to CMSs including Webflow, WordPress, Sanity and Contentful.
- Search Console, GA4 and unlimited seats on Starter, plus scheduled reports with PDF export.
Weaknesses
- Volume is metered in credits rather than prompts, so how many prompts a plan covers depends on the engines and cadence you choose, and claim review is listed on Enterprise.
Best for
Growth teams that want tracking and content publishing in one workspace.
9. SE Visible: best for high prompt volume at a low price
Overview
SE Visible, from SE Ranking, starts at $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually, for 200 prompts. It tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with a 10-day trial.
Strengths
- A high prompt allowance for the price.
- An API, in beta, that exposes cited domains and URLs.
- Pairs with SE Ranking's audit, content and analytics tools.
Weaknesses
- No native GA4 or Search Console connection in SE Visible itself, and each project tracks one location.
Best for
Cost-conscious SEO teams that want broad prompt coverage.
10. Promptwatch: best for MCP and API access on a budget
Overview
Amsterdam-based Promptwatch offers a free Explore plan that tracks a small set of prompts on ChatGPT. Its Essential plan costs $95 a month, or $950 a year, for 50 prompts. Professional, at $245 a month, adds AEO articles and crawler logs.
Strengths
- MCP and API access on every brand plan, including Essential.
- Search Console connection and publishing to Webflow and Framer, with WordPress in its docs.
- A content agent that plans and drafts articles from the Professional plan.
Weaknesses
- Brand fact checks are not live yet, per Promptwatch's blog, and it measures AI referral traffic with its own script rather than a GA4 connection.
Best for
Small teams that want their AI visibility data in their own AI tools at an entry price.

What should you test during a free trial?
Test the questions your buyers actually ask, not the vendor's sample set. A trial only tells you something when it runs your prompts, in your markets, on the engines your buyers use.
- Your own prompts. Load twenty to thirty real buyer questions, including comparison and pricing questions, and keep them identical across tools.
- Your markets. Run the same questions from each country you sell in, in that country's language.
- Answer quality. Open individual answers and check that mentions, positions and cited URLs match what you see in the engine yourself.
- Accuracy. Look for answers that get your pricing, features or positioning wrong, and see whether the tool flags them.
- Next steps. Ask what the tool tells you to do this week, and whether it can help you do it.
- Total cost. Price the plan you would need for your full prompt set, countries, engines and team.
Most trials here run seven days, which is enough to judge data quality but tight for judging recommendations. If you need longer, ask the vendor for an extension before you start.
- Decide first whether you need a monitor or a platform that acts on what it finds.
- Run two or three trials on the same prompts, in the markets you sell in.
- Compare prompt, engine, country and seat limits on the plan you would actually buy.
- Ask every vendor how it captures answers and what it does with them next.

The leading AI visibility platforms in 2026 are Asky, Peec AI, Profound, Otterly.AI, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Scrunch, AthenaHQ, SE Visible and Promptwatch. Asky leads for teams that want the platform to act on its findings, while Peec AI suits daily analytics with recommended actions and Otterly.AI suits affordable monitoring.
What tools can benchmark my AI visibility performance against competitors?
All ten tools here benchmark you against competitors, including Peec AI, Profound, Otterly.AI and Semrush. Check how many competitors a plan allows, whether position and sentiment are tracked for each one, and whether you can see the sources each answer cited.
Which AI visibility tools connect to Google Search Console and GA4 so SEO and AI data sit in one report?
Asky, Profound and AthenaHQ connect both natively, and Ahrefs connects Search Console and imports GA4 data in Web Analytics. Peec AI and Scrunch connect GA4 for AI referrals, Promptwatch connects Search Console, and Semrush brings both into My Reports.
Which AI search tracking tools let the whole team see the data without paying for extra seats?
Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Profound's brand plans, AthenaHQ and SE Visible include unlimited users or seats, and so does Asky on every plan. The Semrush toolkit is licensed per user, so check seat costs before you roll it out.
On a monthly plan with no annual contract, which AI visibility tools offer an API or MCP server?
Peec AI includes MCP on every plan and an API from Pro, Otterly.AI offers both from Standard, Ahrefs includes both on Lite, and Promptwatch includes both on every brand plan. AthenaHQ's MCP docs set no plan requirement, and SE Visible has an API in beta. Scrunch's MCP launch post puts MCP on all plans while its pricing page lists it on Enterprise, so confirm with Scrunch. The Asky MCP server comes with every monthly plan, with a REST API on Momentum or as an add-on.
Beyond Peec AI and Otterly.AI, which AI visibility tools should a B2B marketing team compare?
Add Asky if you want fixes shipped as well as tracked, Profound for an enterprise contract with agents, and Semrush or Ahrefs if your SEO team already uses them.
How should you build a shortlist?
Pick two or three tools that match your main job, then trial them on the same twenty to thirty buyer questions in the markets you sell in. Compare the data, then compare what each tool tells you to do next. Keep the one that turns findings into work your team actually ships.
