The AI visibility tools that suit European companies store customer data in the EU, bill in euros and track answers in the languages your buyers actually use. Eight European platforms meet most of those tests: Asky, Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Superlines, Finseo, LLM Pulse, Rankshift and Morningscore. Asky comes first because it closes the loop: it ranks the next SEO and GEO actions across content, technical fixes and third-party sources, then carries them out in your CMS.

Demand is real. In 2025, 32.7% of people aged 16 to 74 in the EU used generative AI tools (Eurostat). Half of German internet users at least sometimes ask an AI chat instead of a search engine (Bitkom). Every fact about each tool below comes from its own website, checked on 10 October 2026.

AI visibility tools for European companies at a glance, monthly list prices checked 10 October 2026

What should a European company look for in an AI visibility tool?

Check six things before you sign. Three are about trust: where customer data is stored, which languages and countries the tool asks from, and how it bills. Three are about results: how it captures answers, what it does after it measures, and how it handles each market.

The first set decides whether procurement approves. The second decides whether anything improves.

  • Data location. Ask where the production database sits and which processing happens outside the EEA. A company based in Europe can still store data elsewhere.
  • Languages and markets. A buyer in Munich asks ChatGPT in German and often gets German sources. A tool that asks only in English measures a different conversation.
  • Billing and terms. Euro pricing and monthly plans make a pilot easy to approve and easy to end.
  • Answer capture. Answers from the consumer apps your buyers use can differ from raw model output, especially for local questions.
  • Action. A dashboard shows where you stand. A ranked list of fixes, shipped to your website, is what moves it.
  • Market coverage. Ask whether each market's prompts run from that country, in its language, with their own results, and how extra markets are priced.

Does the language of a question change which brands AI recommends?

It can, and how much depends on the engine. The language of a question changes which sources an engine reads, and those sources shape the answer. That is why a German, French or Swedish program needs prompts written in those languages, not translated reports from an English one.

Three recent studies point the same way.

University of Toronto researchers translated 100 consumer queries into five languages. The domains cited by OpenAI's GPT model overlapped near zero across languages, while the brands it named overlapped more (University of Toronto, arXiv). A multilingual study accepted at ICML 2026 found that models prefer English sources for English queries and sometimes trade relevance for language (Linguistic Nepotism, arXiv). A September 2026 benchmark found that when sources in two languages disagree, answers follow the source written in the query language (Where's Waldo, arXiv).

The practical rule is simple. Track the questions your buyers ask, in their language, from their country. If your German pages say something different from your English ones, German answers will likely repeat the German version.

How do these tools compare on data location and billing?

Six of the eight state EU hosting: Asky, Superlines, Finseo, LLM Pulse, Rankshift and Morningscore. Otterly.AI hosts its platform in Frankfurt but stores public monitoring data in the US, and Peec AI names no hosting region.

1. Asky: best for teams that want SEO and GEO work done

Overview

Asky is autonomous SEO and GEO, from insight to execution. The AI-native platform from Asky Labs AB in Stockholm measures how ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews describe your brand, with Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Claude available. Asky then ranks the actions most likely to improve that picture and carries them out through your CMS.

Strengths

  • Primary storage and processing of customer data takes place within the EEA: the production database runs in Stockholm, Sweden, and application compute runs in the EU.
  • Prompts run every day from 46 countries in over 70 locales, captured from the interfaces buyers use rather than relying only on model APIs.
  • One ranked list of next actions across content, refreshes, technical fixes, third-party sources and community threads, built on a knowledge graph of your brand and your Search Console, GA4 and AI crawler data.
  • Writes, refreshes and translates pages into 27 languages, then publishes to Webflow, WordPress or Sanity by changing a single field, block or widget; the in-app agent and the Asky MCP server act on the same data.
  • Asky checks AI answers against the brand facts you set, gives a verdict per claim, and shows the source the engine cited for it, where there is one.

Weaknesses

  • Publishes to three CMSs: fewer than some content tools, but each change lands in the exact field, block or widget and is read back.
  • Each country a prompt runs in is measured on its own, with its own answers and sources, so it uses its own prompt slot.

Best for

European B2B and multi-market teams that want one system to find what AI gets wrong, decide what to fix first and ship the fix. Plans and prices are on the Asky pricing page, and Asky's AI visibility tracking explains what each answer records.

2. Peec AI: best for daily analytics with brand fact checks

Overview

Berlin-based Peec AI calls itself "AI search analytics for marketing teams". It tracks visibility, position and sentiment daily against unlimited competitors.

Strengths

  • Fact checking: you set brand facts, and Peec gives claims in tracked answers a verdict against them.
  • Recommended actions and an in-app agent, with unlimited users, languages and an MCP server.
  • Crawl insights from server and CDN logs show which AI bots visit.

Weaknesses

  • The privacy policy names no hosting region, and the Starter comparison table lists one country.
  • Stops at recommendations of what to do, rather then executing on the fixes

Best for

Teams that want daily analytics, fact checks and recommended actions.

3. Otterly.AI: best for a low-cost start

Overview

Austrian Otterly.AI tracks brand mentions and citations across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot from €29 a month.

Strengths

  • The lowest entry price on this list.
  • Recommendations and GEO audits of URLs on every plan, plus content briefs, with AI crawler analytics from Standard.
  • Prices in euros for EU visitors and prompts in any language.

Weaknesses

  • Its security page states that public monitoring data is stored in the US.

Best for

Small teams testing AI visibility before committing budget. Our OtterlyAI comparison covers the trade-offs.

4. Superlines: best for EU-only data storage

Overview

Helsinki-based Superlines describes itself as AI search intelligence built on data from real AI search interfaces rather than APIs.

Strengths

  • Its privacy policy places storage in EU regions only.
  • Unlimited countries and languages on every plan, with 60+ languages listed.
  • An Action Center and an article generator on every plan, plus an MCP server.

Weaknesses

  • Extra engines need the Enterprise plan, and no native CMS publishing is described.

Best for

Enterprise and agency teams whose first requirement is data stored in EU regions.

5. Finseo: best for DACH teams that want German hosting

Overview

Finseo is a German GmbH that states Frankfurt hosting by default and prices only in euros.

Strengths

  • A German AVV is available on request, which suits German procurement.
  • Connects to Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools, Matomo and Piwik PRO.
  • From the Business plan, an agent drafts content and publishes to Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Framer and more.

Weaknesses

  • Fact checking is a paid add-on, and crawler logs start on the Business plan.

Best for

German and Austrian companies that want German hosting and familiar analytics connections.

6. LLM Pulse: best for lean budgets with weekly data

Overview

Barcelona-based LLM Pulse tracks mentions, citations and share of voice from €49 a month on weekly tracking.

Strengths

  • Hosting on servers in Germany.
  • Recommendations and a GEO writer that drafts from tracked answers and cited pages.
  • An MCP server on every plan.

Weaknesses

  • Daily tracking costs more (€79 on Starter), and sentiment starts on Growth.

Best for

Lean teams that can work with weekly data.

7. Rankshift: best for agencies on a credit budget

Overview

Belgian Rankshift positions itself as an AI search optimization platform for brands and agencies, with credit-based plans.

Strengths

  • Unlimited countries, languages and seats on every plan.
  • A 30-day free trial without a credit card.
  • An Action Center, a content brief generator and an AI content writer.

Weaknesses

  • Credits are spent per model and locale, API and MCP access start on Professional, and no site audit or Search Console connection is described.

Best for

Agencies and brands that want many markets at a low monthly price.

8. Morningscore: best for SMBs combining SEO and basic AI tracking

Overview

Danish Morningscore is a gamified SEO tool that adds ChatGPT prompt tracking and an AI Overviews tracker, from €59 a month on its German site.

Strengths

  • EU hosting in Germany and Ireland.
  • Covers 167 countries, with the app available in English, Danish and German.
  • Rank Writer drafts articles, and its plugins publish to WordPress and Shopify.

Weaknesses

  • Tracks ChatGPT and AI Overviews only, and tracked prompts refresh weekly.

Best for

Small businesses that want classic SEO and basic AI tracking in one place.

How we chose these tools

We shortlisted software, not agencies, from EU-headquartered companies with public pricing, product pages updated in 2026 and a clear statement of where they host data. From that list we picked the eight most relevant to B2B marketing teams, and also reviewed Meteoria, Hikoo, Qwairy, KIME, SISTRIX and Mangools. We left out companies whose customer data is hosted in the US, such as Rankscale and Nimt. Every price, engine list and hosting statement comes from the vendor's own pages, read on 10 October 2026.

The first entry covers the full path from measurement to execution, the criterion we weight most.

Which tool fits which European team?

Asky fits teams that want fixes shipped and DACH or Nordic programs run in the local language. Finseo suits companies that want German hosting, Superlines teams that need EU-only storage, Otterly.AI a low-cost start, LLM Pulse a lean budget, Rankshift agencies, and Morningscore small businesses.

A DACH software company selling in German needs German prompts, German sources and a vendor its procurement team can approve. A Nordic brand needs Swedish, Danish or Finnish tracking; our guide to AI visibility tools in Sweden goes deeper. For a structured evaluation, use our AI visibility buyer's framework.

Key takeaways
  1. Ask every vendor where the production database sits and which processing leaves the EEA.
  2. Write prompts in each market's language, run them from that country, and ask how extra markets are priced.
  3. Request the data processing agreement and processing locations before you sign.
  4. Choose a platform that turns findings into shipped fixes if your team is short on time.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI search monitoring platforms are based in Europe and host customer data in the EU?

On this list, Asky (Stockholm, Sweden), Superlines, Finseo, LLM Pulse, Rankshift and Morningscore state EU hosting. Otterly.AI hosts its platform in Frankfurt but stores public monitoring data in the US, and Peec AI names no hosting region.

Which EU-hosted AI visibility tools offer a GDPR data processing agreement and euro billing?

All six EU-hosted tools on this list bill in euros. Ask each vendor for its data processing agreement, the processing locations it lists and its transfer safeguards before you sign; some publish one, while others share it on request.

Our US-based AI visibility tool cannot track answers in German. Which European platform should we switch to?

Shortlist tools that run German prompts from Germany, Austria or Switzerland and keep data in the EU. Asky, from Stockholm, runs each German prompt every day from the country you choose, captures the answer from the interfaces buyers use, then writes, translates and publishes the German fixes. Finseo states Frankfurt hosting, and Superlines keeps storage in the EU. Run the same German prompts in two trials before you switch.

Which GEO tools can track AI answers in German as well as English?

Every tool on this list can run prompts in German. The difference is whether each prompt runs from Germany, Austria or Switzerland and how extra markets are priced, so test your own German prompts during the trial.

Does asking ChatGPT a question in German change which brands it recommends?

It can. One study found that OpenAI's GPT model cited almost entirely different websites for the same question in different languages, although the brands it named overlapped more. Track German prompts separately from English ones so you see the German answer.

How much does an AI visibility tool cost in euros?

Entry plans on this list run from €29 to €99 a month. Prices rise with prompts, engines, markets and features such as content creation or CMS publishing, so compare the plan you would actually need.

Where should a European team start?

Start with twenty questions your buyers ask, in each market's language, and run them on the engines those buyers use. Shortlist two tools that pass your data checks and run both trials on the same prompts. Keep the one that tells you what to fix next and helps you fix it.
