OtterlyAI vs Asky comes down to price and who makes the on-site changes. Asky, the AI-native SEO and GEO platform from Asky Labs AB (askylabs.com), queues SEO and AI search work by priority and publishes the changes you approve. OtterlyAI, which calls itself "The Content Intelligence Platform for AI Search", tracks AI answers, audits pages and ranks recommendations for your team to act on. If you are weighing an OtterlyAI alternative, the criteria follow our buyer's framework for AI visibility tools.

OtterlyAI or Asky: what's the short verdict?

What each is built for sets the biggest trade-off: OtterlyAI monitors, audits and recommends from a low price, while Asky ranks the work and writes approved changes into your CMS. A mid-market team on Webflow, WordPress or Sanity with little writing time will likely get more from Asky than from OtterlyAI Standard at $189 a month.

  • Choose OtterlyAI if you want to start at $29 a month, book placements on cited sites in-app, or report through Looker Studio.
  • Choose Asky if you want technical SEO ranked beside AI search work, MCP and crawler logs on every plan, and approved changes published to your CMS.

Ranking the right work matters because AI summaries shift classic clicks. In a panel of 900 U.S. adults, users who saw a Google AI summary clicked a traditional result in 8% of visits, versus 15% without one, according to Pew Research Center.

OtterlyAI

Overview

OtterlyAI tracks brand mentions, share of voice, sentiment and domain rankings daily, and shows which URLs each engine cites. It also runs GEO audits and citation gap analysis, ranks Recommendations by impact and reads AI crawler visits in Agent Analytics.

Strengths

  • Low entry price: Lite costs $29 a month, and the 7-day trial includes 50 prompts with no credit card.
  • Engine pricing: four engines included, Microsoft Copilot among them, with flat monthly prices for the other three.
  • Off-site work in one place: book placements on sites AI engines already cite, in-app, plus 100+ marketplace prompts, agents and tools.
  • Reporting and reach: PDF brand reports with your logo, Looker Studio from Standard, and 70+ countries.

Weaknesses

  • No native CMS publishing documented: the GEO Content Creator and Landing Page Creator write content, and beta n8n workflows your team runs turn recommendations into WordPress articles or Webflow updates.
  • Per-URL audits: the GEO Audit checks one URL at a time in the interface (bulk via the API), with a Sitemap Priority Analyzer to pick URLs. Its help center does not describe a site-wide SEO crawl, or Search Console data outside Looker Studio and a standalone prompt tool; ask in a demo.
  • Lite is a starter tier: 15 prompts and three recommendations a week, without API, MCP, Agent Analytics or Looker Studio. Recommendations need 15 prompts, 3 competitors and 3 days of data first.

Best for

OtterlyAI fits solo marketers and small teams on Lite, SMEs on Standard, and the mid-sized companies and agencies it targets with Premium. It suits teams that want daily tracking, GEO audits and ranked recommendations, and that make their own on-site changes.

Asky

Overview

Asky is built for teams that want one system to find and rank SEO and AI search work and publish the content changes. Every plan tracks visibility, share of voice, sentiment and AI citations by engine. Content changes run only after you approve them, while supported audit issues get fixed through the CMS, automatically or in one click. Asky's long-term vision is autonomous SEO and GEO.

Strengths

  • Native publishing: new pages, refreshes and translations (27 languages) go out through its three CMS integrations once you approve. A refresh rewrites only the approved passages, down to one WordPress block, Elementor widget, or Webflow or Sanity field.
  • A site-wide technical SEO and GEO audit of 104 issue types: unlike OtterlyAI's per-URL checks, it crawls the site, and its checks run from indexability to making a site LLM-friendly.
  • Technical SEO in the same queue: issues from the site-wide crawl rank beside content gaps, refreshes, third-party sources and discussions. OtterlyAI's Recommendations cover similar work types, refreshed weekly.
  • Cheaper MCP and log access: the Asky MCP server and AI crawler logs come with every plan, from €99 a month; OtterlyAI's API, MCP and Agent Analytics start on Standard ($189). Logs matter: AI crawlers made up almost 80% of AI bot traffic across more than 130,000 apps and APIs from mid-April to mid-July 2025, according to Fastly.

Weaknesses

  • A higher entry price: Asky starts at €99 a month, with the site-wide audit, crawler logs and MCP included, against $29 for OtterlyAI Lite.
  • Built for on-site execution: off-site, Asky ranks third-party sources and discussions, while OtterlyAI adds press and YouTube actions and bookable placements on cited sites.
  • Built for depth on three CMSs: Asky writes into Webflow, WordPress and Sanity, so teams on another CMS make the changes themselves; some Elementor widgets and static Webflow pages get copy-ready changes.
  • One preconfigured system: the queue and workflows come set up, with no marketplace like OtterlyAI's 100+ prompts, agents and tools.

Best for

Asky suits mid-market teams where one or two people cover SEO and content and want approved changes published to Webflow, WordPress or Sanity.

How much do OtterlyAI and Asky cost?

OtterlyAI costs less at every self-serve tier: $29, $189 and $489 a month for Lite, Standard and Premium, against €99, €399 and €899 for Asky Core, Scale and Momentum.

OtterlyAI's pricing page shows US dollars excluding tax, and its help center says USD or EUR by location. Extra prompts cost $99 per 100 a month on Standard and Premium; Standard's AI Mode and Gemini add-ons cost $59 a month each, and its Claude add-on $109.

Asky prices are in euros, excluding VAT; Enterprise is priced on request, and paying annually saves two months. Core carries 250 monthly credits, Scale and Momentum 1,000, and each extra prompt adds €0.75 a month. OtterlyAI and Asky both include unlimited seats.

For 200 prompts in one country on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, OtterlyAI Standard plus one prompt pack costs $288 a month. Asky Core plus 150 extra prompts and Copilot costs €261.50, about $297 at the European Central Bank reference rate for 29 September 2026 (EUR 1 = USD 1.1355). That is close, but Core ranks work weekly and does not publish. Scale plus Copilot costs €449 (about $510), with a daily queue, publishing and roughly 12 new articles a month from its credits.

When should you choose OtterlyAI or Asky?

Pick OtterlyAI when budget decides and your team edits its own site, and Asky when writing and publishing is the bottleneck. Either way, start a baseline early. About half of U.S. adults now use AI chatbots, and six in ten say they read AI search engine summaries, according to Pew Research Center.

Choose OtterlyAI when

  • You track one brand on a small budget, and 15 prompts on Lite will make the case.
  • You need 100 to 400 prompts with the API, MCP and Agent Analytics for under $500 a month.
  • Writers, developers or n8n workflows already turn recommendations into site changes.

Choose Asky when

  • Your site runs on Webflow, WordPress or Sanity and you want approved changes published without running n8n.
  • You want a site-wide technical audit and Search Console data in the same app as AI visibility.
  • You publish in several languages and want approved translations written straight into your CMS.
Key takeaways
  1. Price your real prompt and engine count in both; at 200 prompts on four engines, the totals sit near level.
  2. Count the hours your team spends writing and publishing changes by hand, and weigh them against what Asky costs.
  3. Model Claude separately: OtterlyAI charges a flat add-on, Asky charges per prompt.

Frequently asked questions

What is OtterlyAI?

OtterlyAI, also written Otterly AI, is a self-serve AI search monitoring and GEO platform from Austria. It tracks brand mentions, citations, share of voice and sentiment daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with three more engines as add-ons. It also runs page-level GEO audits, ranks recommendations and writes articles or briefs in its GEO Content Creator.

How much is OtterlyAI?

As of 30 September 2026, OtterlyAI costs $29 a month for Lite, $189 for Standard and $489 for Premium, in US dollars excluding tax. Annual billing lowers that to $25, $160 and $422 a month, and Enterprise is custom from 1,000 prompts.

Does OtterlyAI have an API and MCP server?

Yes, from Standard. OtterlyAI Standard includes 2,000 API requests and 2,000 MCP requests a month and Premium 5,000 of each, while Lite has neither. Asky includes its MCP server on every plan and also offers a REST API.

OtterlyAI vs Asky: which one also fixes the issues it finds?

Asky does: it writes, refreshes and publishes approved pages to Webflow, WordPress or Sanity, and fixes supported audit issues through the CMS, automatically or in one click. OtterlyAI writes articles or briefs in its GEO Content Creator and lets you book placements on cited sites. Its documentation describes no native CMS publishing, but from Standard, beta n8n workflows turn its recommendations into WordPress articles or Webflow updates.

Is Asky more expensive than OtterlyAI?

Plan for plan, yes: Asky Core costs €99 a month before VAT against $29 for OtterlyAI Lite. At 200 prompts on four engines, though, Core costs about what OtterlyAI Standard does. Against Lite, Core's higher price buys a site-wide audit, native Search Console data, MCP and crawler logs.

What should you check before you commit?

Start with answer capture. On capability, bias and sycophancy benchmarks, API evaluations of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini scored on average 3.4 percentage points higher in accuracy than the same models' chat interfaces, according to a paper on arXiv. OtterlyAI and Asky both capture Claude through an API, so spot-check those answers against the Claude app, a check that applies across all platform comparisons.

  • Load the same 20 prompts into both 7-day trials and compare answers.
  • Confirm the pricing basis: included engines, prompt packs or per-prompt add-ons, currency, tax and credits.
  • If publishing matters, push one approved change from Asky to your CMS and check what else moved.
  • Check security and procurement needs, such as SOC 2, SSO and a DPA, with both vendors.

If price comes first, OtterlyAI fits; if you want SEO and AI search work ranked in one queue and published to your CMS, start with Asky.
